Camp Location

This prison facility was located east of the railway line from Batavia/Weltevreden to Meester Cornelis, about halfway between the two districts. On the map of Bataviain the “Stedenatlas van Nederlands-Indië” (atlas of  of cities in theDutch East Indies), this prison is designated as the “Huis van Bewaring Struis­wijk” (Struiswijk House of Detention).
