Camp Location

The Stella Maris Convent (Stella Maris-klooster) of the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence Maria Sterre der Zee (Zusters van de Goddelijke Voorzienigheid) was in the southwestern part of the city, between Chineese Kerkweg and Waringinweg. The address was Waringinweg 149.
Internees were housed in some of the rooms and classrooms of the cloister compound. The camp was surrounded by barbed wire and gedek.
The nuns occupied the upper floors and had their own entrance, separate from the one to the camp.
